For several years now, skincare specialists have used a variety of techniques to refresh and rejuvenate the face — lasers, chemical peels, intense pulsed light, radiofrequency treatments, and dermabrasion, to name a few. Each method has its benefits... but also its limitations.
One of the most promising innovations in this field is plasma energy. It offers a new middle ground between powerful treatments (often called "ablative") and gentler options. This technology allows practitioners to treat the surface of the skin with great precision, while avoiding the side effects often associated with more aggressive approaches.
The PlexR device works a bit like a cordless pen. When it comes close to the skin, a small spark — like a tiny lightning bolt — is generated by a difference in electrical charge. This micro-discharge gently heats the skin's surface and causes the fluids in the uppermost layer to evaporate, without harming the deeper tissues.
By targeting only the outermost layer of the skin and protecting what lies beneath, PlexR significantly reduces the risk of burns or lasting damage that can sometimes occur with improper use of conventional lasers. It's a modern, softer approach — yet just as effective — for smoothing, tightening, and rejuvenating the skin.

Since PlexR doesn’t require any incisions or heavy procedures, you can return to your daily routine very quickly. Any minor redness or swelling that may appear after the treatment fades away on its own in a short time.

About 30 minutes before the session, a topical numbing cream is applied to the skin. This ensures the procedure is well tolerated, with minimal discomfort during treatment.
